Tarot and Kabbalah: Arcanum 3

Arcanum 3

In Kabbalah, everything is numbers and mathematics. The number is holy and infinite. In the universe everything is measurement and weight. For the Gnostics, God is a geometrist. Mathematics are sacred. No one was admitted into the school of Pythagoras if they were not knowledgeable about mathematics, music, etc. Numbers are sacred.

All of the splendors of the world and the extraordinary interplay of the Sephiroth on the thirty-two paths of wisdom within God and within the human being are described in a marvellous way in the Sepher Yetzirah, a very ancient sacred Hebraic book of the Rabbis.

Tarot and Kabbalah: Arcanum 4

Arcanum 4

The Fourth Arcanum is very interesting. It refers to the cross of four points, the cubic stone, which is the foundation of the Great Work. It is a stone that must be chiselled.

When referring to the schools of the Fourth Way, we find that Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, and Nicoll had written what they knew, but their expositions suffer from many mistakes. For example, Gurdjieff committed the error of mistaking the Kundalini with the abominable Kundabuffer organ, and Ouspensky committed the same error. We cannot desist recognizing the existence of that blind fohatic force that has people hypnotized; yet this one has nothing to do with the Kundalini, but with the Kundabuffer that is the lunar fire. The Bible refers to the forty-four fires, but only two great fires can be spoken of: Kundalini and Kundabuffer.

Tarot and Kabbalah: Arcanum 5

Arcanum 5

The Fifth Arcanum of the Tarot is the flaming Pentagram, the blazing star. The Pentagram represents the microcosmic human being. We can see from an esoteric point of view that there is a struggle between the brain and sex. If sex overcomes the brain, then the star of five points (the human being) falls into the abyss with the feet pointing upwards and the head pointing downwards. Then, the human being transforms himself into an entity of darkness. This is the inverted star, the male goat of Mendes.

Tarot and Kabbalah: Arcanum 6

Arcanum 6

The Sixth Arcanum is expressed by the Seal of Solomon. The Star of Bethlehem is the Seal of Solomon. The six points of the star are masculine. The six outer obtuse angles that exist between point and point are feminine. (In synthesis, this star has twelve rays: six masculine and six feminine). In them, the mysteries of the Arcanum A.Z.F. (Sexual Magic) are summarized and synthesized.

The Seal of Solomon, the star of Nativity, is the perfect symbol of the Central Sun (the Cosmic Christ, the perfect multiple unity). The God Child can never be born within the heart of the human being without the resplendence and life of the brilliant star of nativity. One must work with the Arcanum A.Z.F. in order to incarnate Him.

Tarot and Kabbalah: Arcanum 7

Arcanum 7

The Seventh Arcanum represents magical power in all its strength. The Holy Seven is the sanctum regnum of magia sacra, of high esoteric magic of Kabbalah, the Chariot of War.

The number seven is the Innermost, our real Being, assisted by all of the elemental forces of nature. Nature is a great living organism. In the final synthesis, this great machine is directed by elemental forces.

From the physical point of view, the sacred fire is produced by combustion, although from the point of view as Essence, the elemental fire can exist in itself; this is the fire of the wise, and it is within this elemental fire where the salamanders live. The salamanders are described in Franz Hartmann’s book, The Elementals. Esotericists know that elementals and the elemental gods of fire exist. If we look at the angelology of the Mayans, Aztecs, etc., we will find the gods of fire there. The elemental fire of the wise exists in all of nature.
